IS300eR's 2006 Lexus IS IS 350 - The Lady in Red
David Huang is no stranger in building Lexus’, some of you probably have seen his color-shifting Lexus IS300 on the Hot Import tour last year 2006; but those in the automotive scene definitely known him as one of the rising elite tuners. Despite the success David has with his IS300, he wanted to build another show-stopper for the 2007 Hot Import Night national tour. So in March 2006, David picked up his fresh IS350 in the mind of building it for marketing and advertising demo (later debut @ SEMA 2006 and CES 2007). While rather new on the market, the new styling of the new IS is undoubtedly one of the hottest vehicles out there right now. Continuing his tradition of JDM goods on his IS350, David was one of the first to source out many parts for his car and really getting a jump on the competition. On the exterior, a full INGS+1 body kit was installed along with Blitz’s front carbon fiber grille; while the details are glazed by Fabulous carbon fiber pillars overlay and JDM OEM Lexus rain visors. The interior has received the suede overhaul from StitchCraft along with a pair of Recaro Sportline seats that are electronic adjustable with heated function; the interior accessories are also glazed by a set of four Carlson Japan carbon fiber overlay doorsills and LSP carbon fiber dash interior overlay trims. Recline the seats all the way back, you can enjoy the two 7-inch visor monitors and a 15” ceiling drop-down monitor from SoundStream. Crank up the volume of the stereo and open the trunk, you will see David definitely like to play his music loud and clear; on the trunk lid you can find the mid and high speakers from SoundStream along with its Plexiglas logo, inside the trunk are two 12-inch sub woofers ‘floating’ on a fiberglass enclosure box, all the amplifiers and capacitors are from SoundStream as well to complete the I.C.E. (in car entertainment) package. Underneath the engine bay, the 3.5L has received a little boost in power from Sun Auto’s grounding kit and voltage system. A Fujitsubo dual exhaust system gives the IS350 a whole new tone when the accelerator is shoved down to the ground. Along with the sleek styling inside-out, Huang slammed his IS350 thanks to a set of Zeal Function X coilovers. Sharing attributes similar to his 300, Huang also equipped his 350 with a set of Endless big brakes while a set of staggered 20-inch Work VS-XX wheels reside on all four corners. The madness has only just begun for Huang and his projects, as he plans on transforming both the IS350 once for the 2008 season. What awaits the 350? We promised we wouldn’t tell, but keep your eyes out and catch it at your local Hot Import Night shows in 2007!
